Steven began his career in finance while studying business at Utah State University in the mid 90's. He later progressed in the mortgage industry and has been with Christian Roberts Mortgage since the spring of 2000. His passion for finance and burning desire to succeed became apparent early in his career as he was awarded the Presidents club award by Country Wide home loans for six consecutive years. Long Beach Mortgage Company awarded the “broker of the year” award to Steve in 2001. He is recognized as a pliable personality that can lead a team of employees by example. Steve is a certified mortgage planner, Fannie Mae delegated underwriter, and a certified FHA/VA correspondent.
Steven is passionate about his career, and has considerable knowledge of the lending industry. Recognized as an industry expert, he was featured in Builder/Architect magazine as a feature writer for construction and long term lending. His work ethic and loyalty to those around him have earned the respect of those in his stead, as well as his clients and business partners. As the lending landscape has changed, and companies have consolidated, Christian Roberts Mortgage and Stevens' team has continued to thrive. In his career, Steven has originated over 1 billion dollars in mortgage loans. With 19 years of mortgage lending and an vast understanding of lending guidelines, he is extremely proficient in connecting with the underwriting team resulting in a smooth transaction every time.
Staying active in the community, Steven enjoys cycling and is currently the acting President of the Rouleur Development Foundation. Rouleur Devo is a not for profit 501c3 focused on the development of junior cyclists. Steven has been involved since the inception of the Foundation and is actively involved throughout the year traveling with athletes throughout the country.
Growing up in Southern Idaho - Steve "Bubba" Saxton is no stranger to hard work, loyalty, and commitment. While attending Utah State University he met his wife Tania and they currently reside in Draper, Utah. They have 3 children and 1 grandchild - Seth (22), Jezze (21), Maximus (16) and little Koen. During his free time his family enjoys mountain biking, road cycling, and snowmobiling. "Utah has provided me an opportunity to enjoy all the things I love in life", explains Steve. When he is not assisting clients, he is likely traveling racing bikes with the Rouleur program or snowmobiling in the back country of our beautiful state.
